Find Out About Our Projects

Welcome to GMIM

Behind the title is a range of Chaplaincies and Projects serving the local economy, communities and people in Greater Manchester.

GMIM provides the framework for Churches, Faith Communities and the wider community to share together and celebrate life to the full.

The Chaplaincies provide an opportunity for engaging with people at their places of work whether that be the market stall worker in Bolton, the small business owner in Oldham, the Police Officer on the beat, the person facing job loss in Trafford Park.  Equally it may be the project building a shared future in Bolton based on the Bolton Vision 2030 and the Christian Community Cohesion Project in Bolton. The club or entertainment worker or person out for a night in Oldham who has lost their shoe or struggling with life, Oldham Street Angels are there to walk the path and help people in the night time economy to be safe, in 2019 they have developed a new project supporting vulnerable people in the Town Centre e.g, homeless or in need of welfare support.  This complements the work of Oldham Council in the Town.  You maybe a retail worker or customer attending at the Middlebrook Retail Park near Horwich witnessing one of the events and activities supported by the Middlebrook Angels.

All our Chaplaincies and Projects are there to support all people.

Behind each of these there is a team of Chaplains, Lay People and Volunteers dedicated to serving their communities. A service that is open to all, regardless of their personal faith affiliations. Chaplaincy is about walking alongside, listening to and at times sharing difficult journies but always with a sense of hope.

We hope your enjoy finding out more about our work.
